Golf at Boulder Ridge Country Club
From its gracefully curving fairways to its immaculately manicured greens, Boulder Ridge Golf Course bears the unmistakable mark of a champion.
That champion is Fuzzy Zoeller, former winner of the Masters and U.S. Open, who has lent his personal touch to this spectacular 27-hole course.
What makes a good golf course truly great? According to Fuzzy, a course must be flexible enough to equally challenge both amateur and professional. It must be as beautiful to look at as it is to play. The course must be spacious and wide open, with water providing a refreshing backdrop rather than a frustrating hazard. And above all, a great golf course must withstand the test of time, providing a golfer as much enjoyment on his or her fiftieth outing as it did on the very first.
It was this, Fuzzy's personal philosophy, which guided Lohmann Golf Design in the creation of Boulder Ridge's par-72 course. Sculpted out of the Illinois heartland, this 7,000-yard private course pays tribute to the game through its respect for both nature and golfer alike.
